Crime Against Humanity

A search of this blog would reveal that it has often highlighted and condemned the abuse of the Rohingya.

The UN's special rapporteur for human rights in Myanmar, Yanghee Lee, says "crimes against humanity" are being committed by the military and police against Myanmar's Rohingya Muslim minority.

More than 70,000 Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh in the last few months.
A spokesman for Aung San Suu Kyi, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, who has been in power almost a year, said the allegations were "exaggerated" and an "internal" not "international" issue.
Yanghee Lee explained, "At the end of the day it is the government, the civilian government, that has to answer and respond to these massive cases of horrific torture and very inhumane crimes they have committed against their own people."
